There are high expectations for the Cincinnati Bengals heading into the 2013 season after back-to-back playoff appearances and whether or not this team comes through as one of the top teams in the AFC will fall on the shoulders of A.J. Green. In just two seasons, Green has emerged as one of the top wide receivers in the league and is coming off of a 2012 season in which he caught 97 passes for 1,350 yards to go along with 11 touchdowns.
Now, with the Bengals kicking off their season on Sunday against the Chicago Bears, it appears Green will be looking to get off to another big start while wearing some of the freshest kicks in the game.
The photo above is a shot of the personalized Bengals cleats Green will be wearing against the Bears on Sunday. Professional athletes always manage to come through with some of the sickest shoes we’ve ever seen, but when it comes to the NFL–these may be some of the coolest cleats we’ve ever seen.
If Green can manage to look as good as these shoes on the field during Sunday’s game, Cincinnati should have no problem starting off the year on a positive note with a 1-0 record–but it certainly won’t be easy. The Bengals have struggled to live up to the hype before (especially in the playoffs) and there’s a ton of pressure for them to come through this season–so it will be fun to see what Green and company can do throughout the year.
