Despite the talented and deep pool, there are some that think only South Africa or Australia have a chance at winning the title. Don't forget, however, bout co-hosts New Zealand, who have a much higher probability than many give them. New Zealand has a talented bowling attack while at the same time boasting a deep batting order. New Zealand should no longer be considered a sleeper - they legitimately are contenders to the title.

With guys like Ross Taylor, Brendon McCullum, Daniel Vettori and Kyle Mills playing in their last World Cup, much of New Zealand's leadership will be playing as if everything were on the line. These guys are at their peaks and have a wealth of wisdom to help the team through what will be a mental challenge on top of the physical demands.

McCullum and Taylor are the two main bowlers to keep an eye on this tournament.

"We've been fortunate that we've been winning a lot of games but we're not too results-driven. In a World Cup that will play a part but we're all about the process and making sure we are enjoying it, and that everyone in the team is fulfilling their roles."

"I think all the preparation has neen done, these games are just a good chance for players to iron out any creases they need to before the opening game."
