Chances are that the Jacksonville Jaguars are about to get absolutely embarrassed by the Denver Broncos in week six of the 2013 NFL season. With the betting lines having the Broncos favored 26-27 points (depending on the book), it’s pretty clear which team stands at 5-0 and which team is 0-5.

With the Broncos high-powered offense and the Jags having not much of anything that you would call high-powered, this game could get ugly quickly. If I had to venture a guess, I could see Denver jumping out to a three or four touchdown lead very early in this game. As a result, the Jaguars and this week’s starter Chad Henne are likely going to be throwing a ton. Subsequently, Jacksonville’s top two wide receivers, Cecil Shorts and Justin Blackmon, have a chance to be extremely good plays in Fantasy Football leagues for week six.

Despite having less-than-stellar quarterback play getting him the ball, Shorts has been a productive receiver this year. In five games he has 31 receptions on 62 targets for 411 yards and a touchdown. Shorts has elite speed and, with Jacksonville down in this game, could be due for a long touchdown pass with his big-play ability.

Similarly, Blackmon also has the ability to break open for the deep ball. After serving a four-game suspension to start the year, he was targeted nine times in his first game of the season. He finished the game with five catches for 136 yards, including a 67-yard touchdown catch. With the Jags throwing often and trying to keep the game respectable with big plays, Blackmon could be in for another long score as well.

As far as Henne goes, he’ll definitely have the opportunity for a big game with how many times he’ll throw the ball, but he’s Chad Henne, so trust him if you want, but I’d stay away and look for other options. When it comes to his receivers, though, it may seem like a bad matchup with the team being severely overmatched, but they could pick up some big garbage points that could swing your week six matchup.
