Week 16 Fantasy Football IDP Sleepers: Linebackers

Chris Humphreys-USA TODAY Sports

Each week of the fantasy football season, there are plenty of sleeper articles out there for offensive players. However, there are never enough IDP sleepers. So to help set your final lineup in IDP leagues, here are some fantasy IDP sleepers at the linebacker position for Week 16.

LB Danny Trevathan, Denver Broncos – Trevathan has posted double-digit tackles in five of the last seven games. He has been the backbone of an aggressive Denver unit and seems to be around the ball every play. He recorded just six tackles against the Oakland Raiders earlier in the year, but the former sixth round pick should easily eclipse those numbers this Sunday.

LB Philip Wheeler, Miami Dolphins – Wheeler is leading the Phins with 95 tackles this year and the veteran has been a pretty reliable source of tackles week after week. He will face a Buffalo Bills team that is leading the NFL with 460 rushing attempts on the year, so the linebacker will get plenty of chances to rack up tackles in Week 16.

LB Manny Lawson, Buffalo Bills – Lawson has been a well-kept secret in IDP cricles. The outside linebacker has registered three sacks over the last four games and has averaged 4.8 tackles per contest. Miami QB Ryan Tannehill has been sacked a NFL-high 51 times on the year, so Lawson should be able to get to the second-year quarterback at least once on Sunday afternoon.
