Ryan Tannehill Fantasy Football Week 8 Projection

Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill is starting to gain some attention from fantasy owners as he’s surpassed the 20-point mark for the third consecutive week. Just a few weeks ago, it seemed as if the often erratic gunslinger was poised for the bench in favor of Matt Moore, but is now back in good standing with head coach Joe Philibin, and the fantasy world.

With a matchup looming with the lowly Jacksonville Jaguars, Tannehill is a strong top-10 option to consider. Jacksonville is allowing the most passing yards per game to opposing quarterbacks at 299.7 yards per game. This means that No. 17 is a sure fire bet to find the end zone multiple times come Sunday. Over his past three starts, Tannehill has reached pay dirt six times, and that number is surely about to increase.

Tannehill can thank his fantasy resurgence to a strong running game led by Lamar Miller, and Mike Wallace‘s return to an elite status as a No. 1 wide receiver. With talented skill players finally filling their roles around him, Tannehill has been able to take advantage of opposing defenses with his arm and his legs.

Expect the poor man’s Russell Wilson to look to get Wallace and the receiving corps going early in an effort to stay hot with his performance. Additionally, I also believe Jacksonville will stack eight in the box in an effort to stop Miller, meaning Tannehill will have man coverage across the board. Based off his recent play, there’s no reason to think Tannehill won’t absolutely pick apart the Jaguars defense.

Start with con”fin”dence.

Bold Prediction: 22/26 completions, 263 yards, two passing touchdowns, 37 rushing yards.
