Building the perfect NBA FanDuel lineup is a difficult chore, so I hope this helps you out. Keep in mind that the NBA can be tricky on DFS sites, considering there are many "game-time decisions" and random days off to worry about. Always double-check to ensure all these players are scheduled to play as expected.

The Detroit Pistons look like a completely different team since they let the inconsistent malcontent Josh Smith go to Houston. The team is 4-0 and the play of seemingly everyone has improved, but particularly Brandon Jennings who is coming off of a 40-fantasy-point performance on Jan. 2 and has an ideal matchup against the Sacramento Kings who rank 26th against the PG.

The New York Knicks are an unmitigated disaster this season and the Milwaukee Bucks are quite the contrary at 17-17 and should have no problems serving New York (5-30) another loss. Brandon Knight is by far the most consistent fantasy option on the Bucks and has his fantasy points per game average at 30.8 which means he can essentially give you 40-plus any given night and particularly in favorable matchups like the Knicks.

Los Angeles Lakers coach Byron Scott has recently been quoted as saying he wants Kobe Bryant to "shoot the ball more often." How is this even possible? I have no idea, but it is not up to the fantasy basketball community to make sense of what happens in the NBA, just to take advantage of it. The Indiana Pacers play at a snails pace (pun intended), but Kobe doesn't need to run the floor to be incredibly productive fantasy-wise.

The New York Knicks need J.R. Smith now with all the injuries they are dealing with as Iman Shumpert and Tim Hardaway Jr. are both out and he will draw another start while likely seeing 30 minutes minimum. Smith can go on a tear to obliterate value and carries a higher floor than he would in the past considering the Knicks are essentially playing a D-league roster currently. He will hit value, but likely far exceed it with 35 fantasy points.

SF - Terrence Ross - Toronto Raptors - $4,600

Terrence Ross might see a few less minutes now that Landry Fields is back from injury (which makes zero sense since Fields stinks), but he will still see close to 30 which makes his floor right around value at $ 4,600 with a slightly higher ceiling of around 30. The Phoenix Suns score a ton of points -- as do the Toronto Raptors -- so there should be plenty of fantasy production to go around for Ross, James Johnson and Lou Williams.

It might have taken another injury to send Khris Middleton into the Milwaukee Bucks starting lineup, but he "started from the bottom and now he's here" as he's played over 30 minutes in four-straight games and has exceeded value in three. Occasionally he will score 20 points to go along with eight rebounds and four assists to make you look like a very savvy FanDuel player.

PF - David West - Indiana Pacers - $6,500

David West has been an underrated "lunch-pail" player his whole career and this season with the injury-riddled Indiana Pacers is no exception. He's typically an absolute set-in-stone guarantee to score 10 points with seven rebounds and will really crush value on nights when he adds assists, steals and blocks which he is capable of. For $ 6,500, he is simply a terrific low-risk, high-reward play.

PF - Amir Johnson - Toronto Raptors - $4,900

Amir Johnson is coming off of a double-double last time out scoring 12 points with 10 rebounds, two steals and one assist and has played 30-plus minutes in two-straight games. However, he has also been in foul trouble in both contests with four and five, respectively, which is a tad alarming, but for $ 4,900, his 20-fantasy-point average in nearly a given and the 30 upside is there against the Phoenix Suns' inconsistent frontcourt.

Andre Drummond of the Detroit Pistons is a great player, but he is not the defender many think he is as evidenced by the Pistons' 29th ranking against centers this season, and it is safe to assume the Sacramento Kings will allow them to stay around in this one in Detroit thus negating a blowout. Boogie has played less than 30 minutes in two-straight games which isn't awesome news, but he is due for a huge performance.
