The Colorado Rockies are off to a scorching start to the 2015 MLB season. In fact, they are doing a great impression of the 2014 Milwaukee Brewers, a team that nobody gave a chance but managed to start red hot out of the gates last season. Ironically, the action just happens to occur against the current Brewers squad.

Colorado put up 10 runs on 16 hits against Milwaukee on Opening Day at Miller Park. They followed up that awe-inspiring performance with five runs on 12 hits in the second game of the series. Most importantly, the Rockies emerged victorious in both contests.

Considering Colorado was horrendous on the road last season, it is certainly encouraging to see them perform at such a high level away from Coors Field. Even though the Brewers, like the Rockies, were not projected to be very good this season, there is still plenty of reason for the team to be proud of their accomplishments through two games.

As of right now, Colorado leads the majors in runs (15), hits (28), RBI (15), doubles (12) and at-bats (80). They also rank third in the big leagues in batting average (.350).

Slugger Troy Tulowitzki leads the majors in doubles (three). He also is tied with teammate Nolan Arenado with the big-league lead in runs (four) and hits (five). Meanwhile, Arenado and teammate Corey Dickerson are tied for the most RBI (five) in the majors. If that were not enough, Arenado, Dickerson and teammate Carlos Gonzalez rank second in the big leagues in doubles (two).

If the Rockies continue at their impressive pace, the rest of the National League West has plenty to worry about this year.
