The latest All-Star ballot results have been released and the Cincinnati Reds' presence is scarce to say the least. For a team whose city is actually hosting this year's All-Star game, they seem to be receiving hardly any love from the fans. Here are 5 Reds who deserve consideration.

5. J.J. Hoover

J.J. Hoover has had a tremendous bounce-back season from last year when he posted a 1-10 record with a 4.88 earned run average. This year, however, Hoover has accumulated a 5-0 record with a dominant 1.56 earned run average. His effective play out of the bullpen deserves consideration of an All-Star nod.

Cueto's stats won’t jump out at you like you'd expect numbers from an ace to, but he still has been consistently effective. In eight starts, he has gone 4-4 with a 2.85 ERA. He ranks 17th in the league in strikeouts (82) and 20th in ERA (2.85). Cueto is the ace of the hosting team and for that reason along with his consistent effective pitching makes Cueto All-Star worthy.

His flamethrower of an arm is an attraction many fans like to watch. So if Cincinnati is the site of the All-Star game this year, why not give him the nod? He has been his dominant self this year, he just hasn’t been able to rack up the saves due to his team’s inability to provide him with save situations.

2. Joey Votto

Joey Votto has to be the leader for any “Comeback Player of the Year” award in the organization. After an injury-plagued 2014 in which he was limited to just 62, he has already matched that total this year. In 62 games last year Votto hit 6 home runs and drove in 37 runs. This season Votto has hit 14 home runs with 36 runs driven in. He has definitely earned All-Star game consideration.

Frazier has been the source of the offensive production this season. He has hit 18 home runs while driving in 39 runs. He is currently batting .289, which is fourth-highest on the team. Frazier is on pace to set career highs for home runs and runs batted in, which makes him worthy of an All-Star nod.
