Ryan Blaney is a Future Star for NASCAR

Ryan Blaney is an exciting driver in NASCAR‘s bottom tier series who is stamping his name in the future of the sport. At only 20 years of age, he has put together incredible race performances in both the Camping World Truck and Xfinity series and looks to be a threat to any competitor on any level.

Finishing his second complete season in the truck series, Blaney finished second in points to champion Matt Crafton, had one win and 17 top 10s in 22 races for the season. Blaney also ran a car in NASCAR’S second-tier Xfinity series for 14 races and had 13 top 10s there with one win. To add to the impressiveness of his 2014 season, often he ran and finished out front of Sprint Cup driver participants including beating Kyle Busch for the win at Bristol. The excellent racing coming from the young driver so quickly can only be a sign of what is to become for this future star.

Blaney raced for Brad Keselowski Racing team in the truck series and Penske backed cars in his Xfinity and Sprint Cup starts in 2014. With Penske only fielding two drivers at the moment in Sprint Cup, it looks like they have found their next teammate. The success Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano had in 2014 only looks to expand once Blaney gets his chance at a full-time Cup car. For Ford racing fans, this is very good news.

The success Ryan Blaney has already had before his 21st birthday only leads one to believe a long career is ahead for him in NASCAR. With not yet knowing which division he will run next year, he is either a favorite for the Xfinity Championship or Rookie of the Year in Sprint Cup.
