LeBron James Goes Past Miami Heat Security For Military Servicemen

By Eric Haftel

Miami Heat Forward, LeBron James, has a reputation of being a villian. We all remember his, ‘Decision’ and his actions after. He always seems to come out in a negative light, until now.

Three weeks ago The Heat were on their way from Miami to Portland when they had to make a pitstop at Will Rogers Airport in Oklahoma City to refuel. During the stopover, the Heat went to a terminal lounge to stretch their legs and relax.

That’s when about a dozen uniformed servicemen saw the players and approached Heat security guards to see if they could take some photos with their favorite players. The guards decided to decline their request.

That’s when LeBron stepped into the mix.

“Hey, hey,” LeBron said, according to the The Oklahoman. “Any of these military guys can take a picture with us.”

“Hey, everybody get up,” he said to his teammates. “Get in a circle here. Anybody that wants their picture taken with us, we’ll do it.”

After the light bulbs flashed and the servicemen got what they wanted, they left shocked: “Can you believe that? Who would’ve ever thought?”

I know that this took me by surprise. LeBron is a good guy? How can this be?

It would seem that LeBron’s not such a bad guy after all. Good for you King James.
