Charlotte Bobcats Need To Take Closer Look At Jeff Adrien

The Charlotte Bobcats are looking for anyone on their roster to deliver something magical and help them get out of their current nine-game losing streak.

Now it’s Jeff Adrien’s turn.

The Bobcats have to like what they saw from Adrien Friday night in a 116-94 NBA loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

For 16 minutes of action, the Bobcats really got their money’s worth. Hopefully, they’ll give him more playing time in an effort to break their losing streak. They obviously have nothing to lose.

Adrien was 5-of-7 from the floor and scored 12 points while grabbing six rebounds. He has not produced that well in other games where he has seen more minutes.

It was definitely more than what Adrien had produced on the average for this season at 4.4 points and 4.1 rebounds a game. He had one of his best outings of the season, but it appears he can deliver on a steady basis.

The  Bobcats should start giving Adrien and more players like him a good look for the rest of the season as they make plans for what they’ll want to do next season and beyond.

It was the first time Adrien had scored in double figures since late January. His minutes have been very small for the most part. He made good use of his minutes Friday night against a very good Thunder team.

The Bobcats need to give Adrien a few more minutes. The results could be a pleasant surprise. If he doesn’t deliver, the only harm is that the losses which probably would have still been there, won’t go away for awhile.
