Rudy Gay Will Shine In A Full Season With Toronto Raptors

Assuming that Rudy Gay doesn’t get traded anytime soon, he will shine for the Toronto Raptors in the 2013-14 NBA season.

Now that he knows the team and played quite a bit of games with them, he is ready to take off.

The Raptor averaged 19.5 points per game and 6.4 rebounds per game last season while playing in Toronto. Those are pretty impressive numbers and Gay could possibly lead this team to the playoffs, but he is going to have to get more efficient from the field.

He shot 42.5 percent from the field and 33.6 percent from behind the arc. Both were under his career averages.

After finishing with a 34-48 record, Toronto will actually have some high expectations in the upcoming season, like making the playoffs. We will see if this is actually the case once the new season starts, but the expectations are still there at the moment.

Gay will be a very important piece to the team succeeding, since he was the leading scorer for the Raptors. The same is very likely in the 2013-14 season, but he needs to take that next jump.

He is averaging 18 points per game in his career, but it would be nice if he could put up more. Even averaging around 21 per game would help out the team that much more and it would show his worth. Gay really is a good player. However, he can show that he is a great playing by taking that next leap, while actually playing a full year in Toronto.
