Los Angeles Clippers Will Win Western Conference Championship

Doc Rivers and Clippers have a chance to be special this year in the Playoffs.

Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports

If the Houston Rockets somehow get past the Los Angeles Clippers in their second-round matchup, the guard play of Golden State will be all too much for James Harden and the struggling point guards of the Houston Rockets. But, if the Clippers square off against the Warriors, which is a very strong possibility, the Clippers have a very good chance to beat the early favorites. The deciding factor will be the overall health of Chris Paul and the sixth-man play of Jamal Crawford. If those two things are up to par, then the Warriors will finally fall.

Let’s be real for a second — the Memphis Grizzlies have no chance of eliminating the Warriors in the second round of the NBA Playoffs. They might be able to get close to winning a third game, but the Warriors’ way will withstand the Grizzlies’ slow pounding attack. In the end, the Warriors are just too fast, and not to mention already have championship quality chemistry. Just be patient, because good teams like that always have a short downfall before they showcase their superiority once again.

Easily said then, the Los Angeles Clippers are more dangerous to the Warriors than the lack of other talent in the Western Conference. Therefore, the Clippers do indeed stand the best chance of containing the newly crowned MVP of the league, Stephen Curry, as well as his Warrior running mates. The guards of Paul and Crawford both have to be big in that Warrior series, but that can definitely happen. Watch for the team that beat the defending champion San Antonio Spurs in Round 1 to make another solidifying statement.

Clippers' Austin Rivers Brutally Rejected By Rim On Dunk Attempt

There's always something that can be learned from making a mistake. For Los Angeles Clippers guard Austin Rivers, it's important he understands he mustn't ever attempt to dunk a basketball in an NBA game ever again after this massive rim rejection. I'm sure his father, Clippers head coach Doc Rivers, will have a talk with him about this unfortunate scenario.

Jeff Van Gundy Wants NBA Dance Teams To Quit Smiling

During Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday night, ESPN broadcaster Jeff Van Gundy took exception to the fact that the Clippers dance team was smiling during its routine despite Los Angeles trailing by a significant amount. Well, in what can be described as a bit of poetic justice, the Clippers ended up pulling off an epic comeback win, and Van Gundy was put in his place.

Sacramento Kings' DeMarcus Cousins Chucks Ball At Chris Paul

DeMarcus Cousins didn't do anything wrong on this play, per se, but he undoubtedly made sure to put some extra mustard on the toss. I mean, look at his face! Chris Paul handled it correctly by not turning it into a big thing, but he couldn't have been incredibly pleased.
