Given that the 2015 NBA draft is only thirty-six days away, let's look at the all time best NBA draft picks in Oklahoma City Thunder history. Remember, OKC was the Seattle Supersonics for 44 years. So, you might be surprised who makes the top 5. Have a look.

Reginald Shon "Reggie" Jackson was the #24 overall selection from Boston College in the 2011 NBA Draft. His growth in the league over the years has only proved that he was in fact a steal late in the first round. Unfortunately, he had to depart from Oklahoma City because management couldn't give him enough minutes behind superstar Russell Westbrook. Still, he's definitely worth mentioning in our top 10.

9. PF - Serge Ibaka

Serge Ibaka was the #24 overall selection from the Republic of the Congo in the 2008 NBA Draft. He's often referred to "Iblaka," given his high rate of shot rejections. His three-point shooting ability has made him more dangerous on the court, but it is yet to be seen if he can anchor the paint enough to win a championship for his city.

James "The Beard" Harden was the #3 overall selection from Arizona State University in the 2009 NBA Draft. Unfortunately, he had to be traded to the Houston Rockets after he won the Sixth Man Award in 2012 with OKC, but he has shown that he can handle the spotlight as a Rocket. If he stayed, we might be looking at a dynasty in Oklahoma City, but that just didn't happen. Better luck next time.

7. C - Jack Sikma

Jack Sikma was the #8 overall selection from Illinois Wesleyan University in the 1977 NBA Draft. Sikma still is one the most accurate shooting big men of all time, but his rebounding ability was no joke either as he led the league in rebounding two different times. He was part of the only championship in the 78-79 season with the Supersonics, and he was a 7x All-Star.

6. PF - Shawn Kemp

Shawn Kemp was the #17 overall selection from Trinity Valley Community College in the 1989 NBA Draft. He was expected to attend Kentucky University, but due a few major misfortunes Kemp had to transfer. This ranking may seem a little high, but he was incredibly gifted at 6'10. He played 14 seasons with the Supersonics, was a 6x All-Star, and made more highlight reel dunks than the entire current Thunder team.

6. SF - Kevin Durant

Kevin Durant was the #2 overall selection from Texas University in the 2007 NBA Draft. His scoring ability can already be compared to the best in NBA history, but he has still been unable to win a championship for his team. He is a 4x NBA scoring champion, a 1x League MVP, a Rookie of the Year and an Olympic gold medalist. Most of all, he's still only 26 years old, so stay tuned for many more accolades in the near future.

4. PG - Nate McMillian

Nate "Mr. Sonic" McMillian was the #30 overall selection from North Carolina State in the 1986 NBA Draft. He not only played for the Supersonics for several years, but he was also the Head Coach from 2000-2005. He was called Mr. Sonic because of his 19 combined years of service to the team, but don't let his coaching history fool you. He was a gamer. McMillian still holds the NBA record for most assists as a rookie with 25.

3. PG - Russell Westbrook

Russell Westbrook was the #4 overall selection from UCLA in the 2008 NBA Draft. Known for his energy on and off the court, Westbrook has potential to lead the Thunder to multiple championships. However, we still haven't seen any fruit from that labor. He is already a 4x NBA All-Star, as well as a 2x Gold Medalist. His future is still very bright, so stay tuned.

2. SG - Dennis Johnson

Dennis Johnson was the #29 overall selection from Pepperdine University in the 1976 NBA Draft. He was the leader of the '79 championship team, and also won a Finals MVP. He might be one of the most underrated players in NBA History, but he still was elected into the Hall Of Fame in 2010. He begin his career as a shooting guard, but quickly changed into a successful point guard once he was traded to Boston.

Gary "The Glove" Payton was the #2 overall selection from Oregon State in the 1990 NBA Draft. Known for his incredible ferocity on the defensive end, Payton is still the only point guard in history to win the Defensive Player of the Year Award. He was a 9x All-NBA member, a 9x All-Star, as well as tied for the most All-Defense awards with 9. Only Derrick Coleman was picked before him, and look how well that turned out.

DeMarcus Cousins Nearly Pulverizes Steven Adams With Haymaker

Oklahoma City Thunder center Steven Adams ought to be counting his blessings right now, as he essentially dodged a bullet on Monday night. Adams got locked up with Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins, who nearly lost his cool. Cousins began to swing a devastating haymaker that would have pulverized Adams into oblivion, but thankfully thought twice about it at the last second.
