With the 2015 NBA Draft approaching, the Miami Heat have been doing their due diligence in regards to workouts of all the top prospects in the first round. With the No. 10 overall pick, there are plenty of talented players to chose from, as well as players to stay far away from. Here are the top five prospects the Miami Heat must avoid in the upcoming draft.

5. Kevon Looney

The Heat might be looking to shore up their rotation at the forward position, but Kevon Looney is one player they shouldn’t gamble on. Based on his thin frame and lack of a defined position, Looney will most likely become a glorified bench player. He averaged 11.2 points and 9.2 rebounds in his first season in UCLA, but I wouldn’t expect that kind of productivity to translate to the NBA.

Mario Hezonja has shown flashes of being a multi-skilled player, but as of right now, he's still very raw. This would absolutely become a developmental project for the Heat, who cannot afford to have that occurring with any small forward on their roster.

3. Myles Turner

If the Heat are looking for a stretch forward/center out of the draft, the better option would be Frank Kaminsky, who will most likely be available once the Heat can make their pick. Some consider Myles Turner the next best option at this position, but his efficiency around the rim leaves a lot to be desired. Turner isn’t the greatest rebounder either, which is something the Heat’s frontcourt needs a major boost in.

2. Trey Lyles

Trey Lyles is another example of an extremely raw talent who will take several years to develop. These are the type of players the Heat can’t really wait on. Lyles has a soft touch around the rim, but he's not the best post defender or rebounder. Shooting is also something Lyles needs to improve on as he averaged just 48 percent from the field and 14 percent from beyond the arc.

1. Tyus Jones

The Heat might consider making a move for a quality point guard in the draft, but Tyus Jones should not become an option. Not only does he lack quickness and athleticism (like many of the top PG prospects have), but his shooting abilities also leave a lot to be desired as he averaged just 41 percent from the field this past season at Kentucky.

Kenneth Faried Throws Down Monstrous Alley-oop On Miami Heat

Kenneth Faried is one of the hardest NBA players to figure out. He flashes All-Star caliber brilliance some games, and pulls disappearing acts during others. Against the Miami Heat on Monday night, Faried was back doing the type of stuff that earned him the 'Manimal' nickname, as evidenced by his finish on this epic alley-oop.
