For this current Philadelphia 76ers team, the NBA Draft is their version of the NBA Finals. With six total picks in this year’s draft -- including the No. 3 overall pick -- Philadelphia should be able to walk away next Thursday night with some quality talent. Before the 2015 NBA Draft gets underway, here are five last-minute rumors surrounding the 76ers that you should know about.

Despite interviewing him during the NBA Draft Combine in Chicago, the 76ers have not seemed to show any interest in Duke forward Justise Winslow – that is until recently. Friday, the 6-foot-6 Winslow finally visited with the 76ers and was put through a pre-draft workout. While it could just be due diligence, working out Winslow could possibly indicate that the 76ers are exploring their options come Thursday night, including moving down.

After cancelling his original pre-draft workout with the team, there was a sense of concern that D’Angelo Russell did not want to play for the 76ers. That all changed however when Russell eventually did workout with the team earlier this week. After having supposedly “killed” his workout, sources close to the situation added that Russell “really loves Philly,” which could be good news for those hoping to see him in a 76ers uniform next season.

Once clearly in the market for a guard, the 76ers’ draft plans may have changed with the recent setback of last year’s No. 3 overall pick Joel Embiid. After missing all of last season due to a foot injury, Embiid has yet to heal properly and could once again be out for the entire season. If this is in fact the case, the 76ers could elect to move on from Embiid and once again take a big man in the first round of this year’s draft.

Since falling in the draft lottery back in May, the Knicks have reportedly been active in shopping the No.4 pick in this year’s draft -- of course barring Jahlil Okafor being available. If they do decide to do this, the Knicks are likely to ask for multiple future picks in return. With potentially four first-round picks next year, the 76ers could be a trade partner for the Knicks -- which means the 76ers could walk away with two top-4 picks.

Since the draft process began a few months ago, the 76ers have constantly been linked to Ohio State guard D'Angelo Russell. However, after a strong showing during his pre-draft workouts, Kristaps Porzingis has quickly risen up draft boards, so much so that reports have begun to surface that the 76ers could be interested in selecting the 7-foot power forward with the No.3 overall pick.

Emmanuel Mudiay Devastates Philadelphia 76ers With Buzzer-Beater

The Philadelphia 76ers nearly cemented their fourth road win of the season on Wednesday night against the Denver Nuggets. Philadelphia was up two points with just seconds remaining when rookie point guard Emmanuel Mudiay nailed a prayer shot from outside the arch as time expired to give the Nuggets a one-point victory. The 2015-16 NBA season can't end soon enough for the lowly 76ers, who are now 9-63.
