5 Atlanta Hawks Who Should Be Shown the Door This Offseason

This is going to be an offseason of decisions for the Atlanta Hawks. There will be more than a couple of pieces added to the roster, and there obviously have to be some departures as well. Here are five players the Hawks should look to let go in some way or another in order to retool for the upcoming season.

This one is pretty self explanatory. Nothing against Brand, but he just doesn't have much of anything left in the tank at this point. He is a good influence in the locker room, but little else. If he even hangs around another season, it won't be as an Atlanta Hawk most likely.

4. John Jenkins

You won't find many people who are as high on John Jenkins as I am. The fact of the matter is that the Hawks just traded for a guy who does pretty much the same things as he does. It's just a numbers game at this point, and he's left out in the cold. With a little improvement on the defensive end he could carve out a nice little career in the NBA. It just isn't going to be with the Hawks.

3. Mike Scott

Another victim of the numbers game is Mike Scott. He was passed up in the rotation by Mike Muscala in the playoffs this past season, and he likely isn't getting that job back when salaries come into play. Scott will find himself on the trading block as he's set to make over $ 3 million next season. This is another guy who could have a nice role on an NBA roster if he could learn how to play defense. Again, it probably won't be in Atlanta.

2. Pero Antic

Pero Antic is probably the first guy on the list who may be an unpopular opinion. He just isn't a good basketball player though. Antic is a stretch big who can't really knock down shots consistently. He's nothing more than a big body on defense, and can't bang down low on the offensive end either. He just isn't worth the $ 2 or 3 million he'll be looking for.

1. DeMarre Carroll

I'm cheating a bit with this one. If he would sign for something between $ 8-10 million, the Hawks would be idiotic to let him go. That almost certainly won't be the case though. Someone will bet big on him and give him something in the range of $ 11-13 million per season, but that is just going to be too expensive. I have all the love in the world for DeMarre Carroll, but unless his salary demands are reasonable, he probably won't be back.

Hawks' Kiss Cam Catches Woman Double-Fisting Pizza

I'm going to go out on a limb and say this woman's an actress who was planted by design, but that doesn't stop this bit from being hilarious. The couple in front of her goes to town on kiss cam while she goes to town with her pizza. It's exactly how most single people feel when they're hanging out with couples.

Nance Jr. Proves White Men Can Jump By Posterizing Horford

Things haven't gone swimmingly for the Los Angeles Lakers this season, but one of very few silver linings they can take away from this lowly campaign is Larry Nance Jr.'s potential. He might never be a star in the NBA, but undoubtedly appears to be a worthwhile rotation piece. This posterization of Al Horford perfectly proves that statement.

Watch Draymond Green Steal The Ball and Save It Too

Draymond Green doesn't make the highlight reels as often as some of his teammates, but the combination of strength, athletic ability and awareness he displayed with a steal Tuesday night was fantastic.
