Last season was supposed the be the Hornets' breakout year, but it never materialized that way as bad chemistry (Lance Stephenson), coupled with lack of scoring and injuries kept Charlotte out of the playoffs last year. So, do the 2015-16 edition of the Hornets have what it takes to go all the way? Here are five bold predictions of where Charlotte’s season will land when it's all said and done.

5. Kemba Walker Will Be an All-Star

With the addition of Nicolas Batum, Walker will not be counted on to do it all for Charlotte, which will actually allow him to be a better all-around player, and this will lead him to a reserve spot on the Eastern Conference All-Star team.

Lin was stuck in NBA purgatory the last few seasons, as he played in systems that didn’t fit his game. With Charlotte’s offensive system designed around guards who can be playmakers off the dribble, Lin will finally be in a situation that will allow him to thrive.

3. Frank Kaminsky Will Be the New Starting Center by Midseason

A lot of people slept on “Frank the Tank” in the draft this year, but he will be one of the better rookies in the league. In addition, he will push Cody Zeller to the bench by midseason.

2. Nicolas Batum Will Be Charlotte’s Go-To Man

Batum has all the tools needed and he will get every opportunity to be one on a Hornets squad that desperately needed a playmaker to help out Walker. Batum will become Charlotte’s leading scorer and the team’s go-to man in the clutch.

Looking at the Hornets' roster, there should not be any doubt that they can be fifth or sixth seed in the East. The Hornets have a talented roster, and this should get them back to the playoffs in 2016.
