Gilbert Arenas Claims To Have Stolen $40,000 From A Strip Club Once

Former NBA player Gilbert Arenas shut down his Instagram account last week after making some terrible comments about the Flint water crisis. The three-time All-Star didn’t stay away long as he returned today under the screen name, “gilbertarenasthebadguy,” and of course he would make waves on his first day back.

According to Arenas, he used to scam strip clubs out of $40,000 by pulling a pretty brilliant move:

In short, Arenas would withdraw $80,000 at a strip club, spend $40,000 on the strippers and walk out with the other $40,000 in his pocket. He would then have one of his teammates sign the bill for him and call American Express the next day to report charges that he didn’t make. Once they saw that it wasn’t his signature, they would put the $80,000 back in his account, but he would still have the $40,000 he took from the club.

For such a moron, this was actually a pretty impressive ploy from Arenas, but unfortunately for him, he is still Gilbert Arenas and is now being investigated for credit card fraud from this post. Some guys will never learn.
