Memphis Grizzlies' Zach Randolph Accused Of Strangling Woman At Los Angeles Hotel

By Jason Fletcher

Memphis Grizzlies forward Zach Randolph has been accused by a model of strangling her at a Los Angeles hotel on Wednesday. Randolph strongly denies the accusations, claiming that they are 100 percent false.

The woman filed a police report with the Los Angeles Police Department on Thursday and stated that Randolph “strangled victim causing bruising to her neck.” She claims to have a black eye, multiple bruises on her back, a sprained neck and sore ribs as a result of the incident.

TMZ was able to get in touch with Randolph’s agent Raymond Brothers who said “It’s a false police report.”

Randolph had a number of off-the-court issues early in his NBA career, but he has largely stayed out of trouble since joining the Grizzlies. If these allegations are true, then there will likely be harsh penalties to come for the 34-year-old.

And the Grizzlies will also be in serious trouble if these allegations are substantiated. They’ve already lost Marc Gasol for the season with a broken foot and Mike Conley has been out for a few weeks due to an Achilles injury with no timetable for his return. If Randolph is suspended for these allegations, then the Grizzlies will get bounced in the first round of the playoffs.
