What Is the Toughest Non-Conference Game On Florida Gators’ Schedule?

The Florida Gators have made the Elite Eight three years in a row. As a result, the team will have high expectations once again entering the 2013-14 college basketball season. However, what is the toughest game on Florida’s non-conference schedule?

This is without a doubt the Kansas Jayhawks. Kansas is losing its entire starting five, but it is also getting the No. 1 recruit in the nation in Andrew Wiggins. Memphis transfer Tarik Black is also a big bonus to the team.

Who knows how Wiggins will be in college hoops, but his high school videos look crazy good. He is the No. 1 recruit in the nation for a reason and it will be interesting to see how Florida matches up against him.

Florida will be losing plenty of talent, that includes Kenny Boynton, Erik Murphy and Mike Rosario. However, big man Patric Young will be back, along with other great players. The team will also be getting some transfers and some highly rated incoming freshmen.

With that said, this team should not skip a beat and not making the Elite Eight for a fourth straight year would be a disappointment.

The Gators may have a lot of easy games on their out-of-conference schedule, but they also play some giants in college basketball, with Kansas being the biggest one.

Whoever wins that game will have serious bragging rights, but who knows how it will go with the season so far away. Whether the case, this should be a great game in college hoops that will definitely have a March Madness type of atmosphere.
