Incoming Freshmen Will Help Arizona Wildcats Have One of the Best Frontcourts

The Arizona Wildcats will once again be considered one of the top basketball teams entering the 2013-14 college basketball season. However, it is the freshmen on this team that many people will be raving about and these same freshmen will help Arizona have one of the best frontcourts in the nation.

The two freshmen I speak of are Aaron Gordon and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson. Hollis-Jefferson is ranked No. 21 in the 2013 recruiting class and Gordon is ranked No. 4, according to ESPN.com.

As you can see, Gordon is one of the most highly rated recruits in the nation, which will result in him being a starter and it should also result in him having a great year in college hoops. Anything otherwise should come as a surprise to people.

However, Kaleb Tarczewski and Brandon Ashley will be back. Tarczewski stands at 7’0” and he averaged 6.6 points per game and 6.1 rebounds per game last season, while Ashley put up 7.5 points per game and 5.3 rebounds per game.

With many players leaving, you would imagine that these two returning players would receive more playing time. With four talented forwards, Arizona might go with four forwards from time to time. At the same time, Nick Johnson will be back for another season and T.J. McConnell should be the starting point guard.

Johnson should be the go-to guy as he did average 11.5 points per game last season, which is the most out of any player returning.

Whether the case, Arizona will look much different in the 2013-14 season and who knows what will happen out on the court with all of these talented players playing with one another. Still, the incoming freshmen are set to be great and they will help the Wildcats have one of the best frontcourts.
