What Will Be the Toughest Game For the Indiana Hoosiers In Upcoming Season?

Indiana Hoosiers

The Indiana Hoosiers will play plenty of talented teams in the 2013-14 college basketball season just from playing in the Big Ten alone. However, what is their toughest out-of-conference schedule game?

That could easily be the Syracuse Orange since they will likely enter the season by being ranked in the top 10. Notre Dame could as well, but the Orange are predicted to be better. Both teams will reside in the ACC in the upcoming season.

It is Syracuse who is coming off of a trip to the Final Four, though, and it is Syracuse who beat Indiana in the 2013 NCAA Tournament.

The Orange will be losing their best player in Michael Carter-Williams, but plenty of players will be back, which includes C.J. Fair. Fair led the team in scoring last year, averaging 14.5 points per game. He also had a beastly seven rebounds per game.

As you have probably heard multiple times, the Hoosiers are losing a bunch of talent. Cody Zeller and Victor Oladipo are the biggest losses.

Yogi Ferrell and Will Sheehey will be returning and the team will rely on both quite a bit.

As it stands, Syracuse is probably picked to beat Indiana in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge and who could really argue with that. Indiana has so many questions entering the season.

The Hoosiers really do not have that tough of a non-conference schedule, but beating Notre Dame and Syracuse would be huge. Both of those teams will be really tough to beat and it would not be a surprise if Indiana lost to both.

Luckily for Indiana, there will be plenty of opportunities to get some big wins once conference play begins.
