After losing two key players from last season’s NCAA tournament squad, the Stanford Cardinal enter the new season with some big shoes to fill. Nevertheless, coach Johnny Dawkins still has plenty of talent on hand thanks to the arrival of a heralded recruiting class to go along with the return of three starters from 2013-14. Here are five early predictions for Stanford's statistical leaders in 2014-15.

The loss of Josh Huestis leaves a major void in the frontcourt for Stanford in 2014-15. Nastic, who started 35 games for the Cardinal last season, will be counted on to help compensate this season. The Canadian post player had 33 blocks a season ago, and could see those numbers increase this time around with increased playing time.

4. Chasson Randle – Steals

Much will be expected of Randle this season. Stanford’s best all-around player averaged more than a steal per game in 2013-14 and is the Cardinal’s returning leader in that category. Randle’s combination of foot speed and high basketball IQ should allow him to pace Stanford in thefts during the 2014-15 campaign.

Along with being strong on the defensive end, Randle will be counted on to jump start the Cardinal's offense in 2014-15. Coming off a season in which he dished out 75 assists in 36 starts, Dawkins and the rest of Stanford's coaching staff will depend on Randle to get the ball to the right spots in order to keep their high-tempo offense humming this season.

2. Reid Travis – Rebounds

The highest rated of Stanford’s newcomers, Travis should see major minutes right from the get-go. At 6-foot-8, the Minneapolis native is an aggressive and skilled post who rebounds with ferocity. His presence should help offset the loss of Huestis and his 8.2 RPG from 2013-14.

Randle has steadily become Stanford’s top point-producer during his career, and should continue to lead the Cardinal offense in 2014-15. An excellent shooter who can also get to the rim, the 6-foot-2 guard figures to average close to 20 points per contest this season after pacing Stanford with an 18.8 points per game output in 2013-14.
