The St. John's Red Storm ought to be feeling pretty good about their chances of making the 2015 NCAA tournament. Entering the final week of the regular season, this team might as well be a lock. Of course, it has to take care of business down the stretch.

When Selection Sunday rolls around, the Red Storm will definitely hear their name being called.

The Red Storm are riding a three-game winning streak. During that streak, they have knocked off Seton Hall, Xavier and Georgetown. The Musketeers and Hoyas should be part of the field of 68.

Needless to say, beating teams that will end up making the tournament down the stretch is exactly what a bubble team needs to do to impress the tournament committee.

St. John's played Gonzaga, Butler, Villanova, Providence, Duke, Georgetown and Xavier this season. All of those teams should be in the upcoming dance, proving the Red Storm are tournament tested.

Steve Lavin has a very talented team. D'Angelo Harrison is one of the best scorers in the nation (17.8 PPG), Chris Obekpa is a blocking machine (3.2 BPG) and we could go on and on. Not only is this a tournament tested team, but it is a team that has the talent to make a deep run.

20-9 is a pretty solid record. 9-7 in the Big East isn't too shabby either. Usually, getting to 20 wins is a good benchmark when it comes to making a case for the dance -- well, at least for teams in top conferences. The Red Storm are, of course, already there with two games left to play. Not to mention, the Big East tourney still has to go down.

Losses against DePaul and Creighton are definitely frowned upon this season. However, Lavin's squad has made up for those losses with wins against Syracuse, Providence (twice), Xavier (twice) and Georgetown.
