Although the power conference tournaments are just getting underway, Selection Sunday will be here before we know it. It is this coming Sunday, after all.

With bubble teams scrambling for wins and the "lock" teams battling for higher seeds in the 2015 NCAA tournament, let's take a look at five bold predictions for our favorite Sunday of the year -- well, one of them, that is.

5. Most Notable Snubs: Miami, Tulsa

While Miami needs a couple of wins in the ACC tournament, Tulsa is one of the top teams in the AAC. Still, the Golden Hurricane aren't getting enough love right now and the Hurricanes have too many blemishes on their resume. Whether the case, without a deep run for either team, they could be looking at NIT bids this year.

4. Old Dominion Gets In With or Without Automatic Bid

The Conference USA getting two bids for the dance? Good one. Although the C-USA is nowhere near being a power conference, Louisiana Tech and Old Dominion are both worthy of NCAA tournament bids. If the Monarchs win the conference tourney, then they are in. If not, hopefully the tournament committee remembers they have beaten Richmond, LSU and VCU. Not to mention, they are riding a six-game winning streak.

3. SEC Finds A Way to Get 6 Teams In

Joe Lunardi currently has five SEC teams in the field of 68. Texas A&M is currently on the outside looking in. Whether the Aggies go on a mad run or another SEC member ends up stealing a bid (good luck getting by Kentucky), this conference is going to get six bids.

2. Indiana, Texas, BYU All Make It

Now is the time for Indiana and Texas to prove to the committee that they want in. If they win two games during conference tournament season, they are more than likely in. Anything less, and they are just asking for trouble. BYU, on the other hand, made it to the WCC championship. Before a loss to Gonzaga in said championship, the Cougars were riding an eight-game winning streak. One of those wins was over the Bulldogs (on the road).

Wisconsin made a run to the Final Four last season. The Badgers brought back many members from that team and have managed to compile a 28-3 record up until this point. If they win the Big 10 tournament title, it will be very hard to deny them a No. 1 seed. That is especially true when Virginia, Duke or both go down in the ACC tournament.
