We all know the story with Kentucky: It has yet to lose a game, has talent, talent and more talent and is basically everyone’s pick to come away with the title.
We all love a good upset, but thinking the Bearcats will actually come away with the victory is wishful thinking to the max.
What to Watch For
Take your pick with the Wildcats: The Harrison Twins (Aaron and Andrew) would be stars by themselves, Willie Cauley-Stein is ferocious in the paint, Karl-Anthony Towns could go No. 1 overall in this summer’s draft and we will just stop there. Okay, one more thing: Kentucky has a bunch of players (not just the ones above) who could have been stars elsewhere, but picked John Calipari‘s squad instead.
55.6. That is the number of points the Bearcats have given up on average in 2014-15. That number is good enough for sixth-best in college basketball.
Prediction
Cincy may be solid on the defensive side of the ball, but Kentucky is better (only giving up 54 PPG on average). The Wildcats also have a much better offense (and their team is filled with stars).
If the Wildcats play an absolutely horrible game, they will still probably win. That is not a knock on the Bearcats — Kentucky is just that good.
Kentucky will move one game closer to 40-0 by knocking off Cincinnati with ease.
