Why is Les Miles Hated by LSU Fans?

Paul Abell-USA TODAY Sports

It is hard to believe and even harder to understand why so many LSU Tigers‘ fans absolutely hate Head Coach Les Miles.

In his tenure at LSU, Miles is 84-21 overall, 47-17 in the SEC and has finished either first of second in all but one year in the SEC Western Division. That one terrible season the Tigers finished third. Oh yeah, they also have this little thing called a BCS National Title under Miles as well. In short, Miles has LSU as the winningest program in the SEC over the past seven years.

And this is a guy fans want to run out of town. Geeze folks, it’s not like he’s Mark Richt? After all, Richt is the active leader in wins in the SEC. And just ask the Georgia Bulldogs faithful fans what a bum he is. Miles is only second in wins in the SEC to Richt. So obviously it is time for him to pack his bags and get the heck out of town.

Now 2013 could be the year to add some fuel to this fire as LSU has one of the tougher schedules in the nation along with a defense that is trying to replace 11 players. It’s clear the fans and alumni in Baton Rouge are going to expect only miracles and magic from a coach that is already pretty dog-gone good.

Again, this sports writer just doesn’t get it at all. It would be refreshing for some astute Cajun to set us all straight on the bum that is Miles. We deserve the truth and your candor when it comes to resolving this issue. Please include a list of five coaches as well who can take the LSU program to the next level.

Because it is just to hard for any sane person to get over the the stats detailed earlier. Miles is simply the perfect coach for the Tigers and anyone who thinks otherwise is delusional.
