After a crazy weekend in college football, a bunch of good teams find themselves with one loss at the midway point of the season. Here are the top 5 teams that have a one-loss record.

Texas A&M suffered their first defeat last week to Mississippi State, but before that they were running up the score on teams. Led by sophomore quarterback Kenny Hill, the Aggies continue their stretch of three straight weeks against top 10 opponents. Win these next two and they are right back in the playoff picture.

Oklahoma had their first loss of the season last week, and it was the first time they had to play a ranked team all season. The jury is still out on the Sooners, but with at least three more games against ranked opponents they still have a shot to sneak into the playoffs.

Alabama is another team that took advantage of an easy schedule until they ran into a ranked opponent. If they can run the table they have a great shot at making the SEC title game and a berth in the final four.

Michigan State is by far the best team in the Big Ten. Even with one loss they should have no trouble winning the conference championship game. Like so many Big Ten teams before them, if they can get a little help along the way they will be in the playoffs by default.

Oregon got caught looking ahead to No. 18 UCLA last week and was surprised by Arizona. Heisman candidate Marcus Mariota won't lose another game this season, setting up a rematch in the Pac-12 championship game with the Wildcats and a berth in college football playoff.
