The Marshall Thundering Herd may not be the most popular team in college football, but they have one heck of a quarterback. Oh yeah, they are also one of the few teams left that are still undefeated. Regardless, Marshall QB Rakeem Cato just put his name in the history books with his first touchdown of the game against Florida International.

Does Cato play for the best team? No. Does he play against the toughest competition? Once again, no. He has still managed to go out there every game and perform at a very high level. No matter what level you are playing at, throwing a touchdown in 39 straight games is out-of-this-world crazy.

It would take a miracle for Cato to win the Heisman this year, or for his team to make the College Football Playoff, but what they are doing cannot go unnoticed.

Cato has thrown for over 100 TDs and 11,000 yards in his career. He may not go down in the books as an all-time great, but he has certainly made his mark at the college level. The previous player who held this record was Russell Wilson. Wilson is having a pretty good career in the NFL to say the least.

Cato may be underrated, but he will not go unnoticed.
