Georgia was powerful and unrelenting in the first half against Arkansas. Despite allowing the Razorbacks 26 points in the second half, the Bulldogs still clinched the game. Here are five takeaways from Georgia's win over Arkansas.

With 30 carries for 202 yards, Nick Chubb did even better this week than last week’s shutout game at Missouri. The freshman scored two touchdowns, one in the first half and one in the second half. The Georgia rushing game isn’t hurting nearly as bad as people thought it would without Gurley. With Chubb at the helm, Georgia will continue to rack up points and test opponents.

Hutson Mason passed for 179 yards and two touchdowns, completing 10-of-17 passes. One of those touchdowns came from a Chris Conley, who also recorded five catches and 128 yards. Mason’s 48-yard bullet to Conley was a breath of fresh air for this rushing-heavy offense. Mason’s throwing game is starting to pick up as he is gaining confidence as one of Georgia's offensive leaders.

Georgia leads the SEC East with a 6-1 record, and it doesn’t look like much is going to change. Rivals South Carolina and Florida each have three losses and Tennessee has four. The Bulldogs simply need to keep up their momentum and they will have the SEC East in hand.

Remember that Arkansas fumble that Georgia returned for a 51-yard touchdown? That was Jordan Jenkins' handiwork. He also had another sack and eight tackles during the game. Whatever defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt is doing, it’s working; Jenkins’ presence on the field was felt, and he has become a dynamic player for the Bulldog defense.

After a large 38-6 lead in the first 30 minutes, Georgia only scored one touchdown in the second half. Meanwhile, Arkansas chipped away at Georgia’s lead, closing the gap to 13 points. For Georgia to survive future opponents, including Auburn, they cannot relax in the slightest. To be a big contender against SEC West teams, Georgia must perform the way they did in the first half and be unrelenting.
