Whether if people expected it to happen or not, the Oregon Ducks jumped the Florida State Seminoles in the latest edition of the College Football Playoff rankings, while the TCU Horned Frogs moved into the No. 4 spot. That’s right, if the season ended today, TCU would be in the four-team playoff.

With that said, read on to see the most likely College Football Playoff scenarios entering Week 12 (some cases may be a little bold).

Arkansas: Ole Miss may be vulnerable right now — have lost two of three — but Arkansas has yet to win a game in the SEC. Fans absolutely should not expect that first win to come against Ole Miss.

Mississippi State: I am still disappointed that Ole Miss wasn’t able to keep its perfect record heading into this game. Regardless, it should be a great battle, a battle that I am predicting the Rebels to win.

Final Verdict: Doesn’t Make Playoff

Georgia: Auburn will spoil Todd Gurley’s return by coming away with the victory. Do you really think the Tigers are going to lose two games in a row?

Samford: I won’t waste your time with this one — Auburn wins with ease.

Alabama: This very well could be the most exciting game of 2014, just like last year. This time around, the Crimson Tide will win.

Final Verdict: Doesn’t Make Playoff

8. Ohio State Buckeyes

Minnesota: No offense to Michigan, but this is by far the Buckeyes’ biggest test left of the regular season, which they will still win.

Indiana: Indiana hasn’t won a Big 10 game yet. That win is not going to happen in this one.

Michigan: Michigan has seen better days, and will not pull off the upset.

Big 10 Title: No matter who the Buckeyes play, J.T. Barrett will come up big and lead his team to victory.

Final Verdict: Doesn’t Make Playoff

7. Baylor Bears

Oklahoma State: After already beating Oklahoma, don’t expect Bryce Petty and co. to slip up in this one.

Texas Tech: This trap game is not happening for the Red Raiders.

Kansas State: Tough, tough game to finish off the regular season, but TCU beat K-State and Baylor beat TCU. Going off that playground logic, the Bears roll in this one.

Final Verdict: Makes Playoff

6. Arizona State Sun Devils

Oregon State: No chance, Oregon State.

Washington State: The Cougars probably have no chance either, but this one has trap written all over it. Still, ASU pulls off the victory.

Arizona: Fans are not going to like this one, but I am predicting the Sun Devils to drop this game. The Wildcats only have two losses and it will be played in their house.

Final Verdict: Doesn’t Make Playoff

5. Alabama Crimson Tide

Mississippi State: Call me crazy, but I am predicting Alabama to pull off the upset in this one. Nick Saban’s team only has one loss, and probably thinks it is the better team — it could be right.

Western Carolina: Yeah, not happening. Alabama wins. Moving on.

Auburn: Like I stated earlier, I like the Crimson Tide in this game.

SEC Title: Doesn’t matter who Alabama goes up against, it is winning this game.

Final Verdict: Makes Playoff

4. TCU Horned Frogs

Kansas
Texas
Iowa State

I’ll sum all three games up into one: TCU isn’t losing. Enough said.

Final Verdict: Makes Playoff

3. Florida State Seminoles

Miami: Do you believe in magic? I do — Miami pulls off the upset of the season.

Boston College: Florida State will bounce back by dropping 50+.

Florida: Florida may have beaten Georgia, but it is not beating the Seminoles.

ACC Title: FSU will be trying to get back into the playoff picture, and will win by a few TDs.

Final Verdict: Doesn’t Make Playoff

2. Oregon Ducks

Colorado
Oregon State

Yeah, good luck with Oregon losing either game.

Pac-12 Title: Oregon will have a tough opponent to go up against no matter what, but the Ducks have looked like a serious title contender lately, which is probably why the committee ranked them No. 2 this week.

Final Verdict: Makes Playoff

1. Mississippi State Bulldogs

Alabama
Vanderbilt: The Bulldogs will cruise to victory.
Ole Miss

I already predicted the Bulldogs to go down against Alabama and Ole Miss. This is why life isn’t fair … in college football, that is. Mississippi State has been the best team all season long, but two road losses will end up being the deciding factor.

Final verdict: Doesn’t Make Playoff

4-Team Playoff

Just in case if you weren’t keeping score, TCU, Baylor, Oregon and Alabama will make the playoff. Who knows if two Big 12 teams in the playoff is even possible, but with no title game and with the way the predictions played out this week, it very well could happen.
