The LSU Tigers finished at 8-5 last season, including a 4-4 mark in the SEC. Head coach Les Miles saw his young team struggle at times, especially on offense. This season’s team will have more experience, but there are still questions to answer. Here are the top five questions heading into LSU’s spring practice.

5. How Much Will LSU Miss Defensive Coordinator John Chavis?

Kevin Steele is the new defensive coordinator, but Chavis was a veteran of the league and is highly-regarded as a defensive coordinator. Steele has worked under Nick Saban and he will be under pressure to produce right away.

4. Who are the Playmakers on Offense?

Malachi Dupre LSU Tigers

Obviously, running back Leonard Fournette will make plays, but who helps him? Sophomore receiver Malachi Dupre is a prime candidate to make plays for LSU in 2015, as is wide receiver Travin Dural.

3. Can LSU Compete in the SEC West?

Why not? There appears to be no favorite heading into 2015. Every team seems to have flaws, so the Tigers could certainly be in the mix for the SEC West title this season.

2. Can Leonard Fournette Win the Heisman Trophy?

Leonard Fournette LSU Tigers

Fournette was very impressive as a true freshman, and he figures to be the featured back in 2015. Given Miles’ propensity for running the ball, there’s no reason Fournette should not be in the running for college football’s highest honor in 2015.

1. Who will be the Quarterback?

Brandon Harris LSU Tigers

1. Who will be the Quarterback?

Brandon Harris LSU Tigers

This is the biggest question for 2015. Anthony Jennings has more experience, but Brandon Harris seemed to move the team more in 2014. Spring practice should determine which of these players is behind center to start the 2015 season.
