Last week, the New England Patriots placed wide receiver Torry Holt on injured reserve after suffering a season—possibly career—ending knee injury. On Wednesday, the two sides reached an injury settlement that will allow the veteran wideout to become a free agent again, according to the Boston.com. Holt signed with the Patriots during the offseason after a one-year stint with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Before then, the seven-time Pro Bowler spent the first 10 seasons of his career with the St. Louis Rams. From 2000-07, Holt averaged over 1,300 receiving yards and eight touchdowns per season.
