NFL committee recommends Stan Kroenke be approved to purchase St. Louis Rams

Stltoday.com reports that the St. Louis Post Dispatch has confirmed, through several League sources, that the NFL’s finance committee unanimously recommends that Missouri billionaire Stan Kroenke be approved for his bid to purchase full control of the St. Louis Rams. This news comes a day prior to the actual league vote which takes place on Wednesday in Atlanta, GA. League owners will vote in tomorrow’s meeting on that issue, along with the proposed 18-game schedule. Stan Kroenke (left) and his wife, Anne Walton (a Wal-Mart heir), are reportedly worth an estimated $6.5 billion. Kroenke, a 63-year-old business man from Columbia, MO., already owns 40 percent of the Rams.
