After a dreadful performance by right tackle Alex Barron in the Cowboys’ Week 1 loss at Washington, Dallas fans were thrilled to hear veteran offensive linemen Marc Colombo and Kyle Kosier returned to practice Wednesday. However, it seems little attention has been given to the Cowboys’ best player. Outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware injured his neck on Sunday and left the game with a little over four minutes remaining. After passing all the tests for a mild concussion, Ware was diagnosed with a neck strain, the same injury he suffered last December against the Chargers. The Troy product did not damage his spine in either incident, which bodes well for his health for the remainder of the season.
