Justin Blackmon Will Have A Monster Season

The Jacksonville Jaguars are coming off of a horrible season where they finished with a 2-14 record. Whether if the team improves in the upcoming NFL season or not, wide receiver Justin Blackmon is going to have a monster season–after he serves his suspension.

As a rookie, Blackmon had 865 yards and five touchdowns. Not amazing stats, but not bad at all for a first year player. With the talent that Blackmon has, it is time for him to go off. He was the No. 5 pick in the 2012 NFL Draft and all.

It would help if Blackmon had a good quarterback to throw him passes, but that has yet to be seen.

With that said, the Jaguars have two capable QBs in Blaine Gabbert and Chad Henne and if history repeats itself, both players will see the field this season. Combined, these two threw for 3,746 yards, 20 touchdowns and 17 interceptions last year.

The quarterback position is not only the most important piece for the Jaguars to succeed, but it is also the most important thing for Blackmon to succeed. Whether the case, Blackmon will get his touches and he should have more than 1,000 yards in the upcoming season, however, his suspension could affect that. The only way I can see this not happening is if he were to get injured or something bad like that.

Blackmon seriously has the talent to be one of the best wide outs in the league and he showed glimpses of that in his rookie season. However, it is time for him to go big in his second season in the NFL.
