New Orleans Saints rookie wide receiver Kenny Stills has been having a great start to his NFL career. The rookie sensation has had a number of big plays for the Saints and has established himself as a playmaker for the team.
On the season Stills has only made 13 receptions, but they were for 327 yards and three touchdowns. Stills has turned into the Saints’ best deep threat speedster and is making the team look like geniuses for drafting him.
Last week, Stills had his best game as an NFL player as he put up some big numbers. In the Saints’ 35-17 victory over the Buffalo Bills, Stills only caught three passes. However, those three passes were good enough for 129 yards and two touchdowns, including a 69-yard touchdown reception.
It is evident that Stills has become Drew Brees’ favorite new target and he could have many more big games in his career with the Saints. In the Saints’ Week 9 contest against the New York Jets Stills could have another big game. The Saints’ offense is so prolific and Stills is the perfect fit as the deep threat.
Brees does an excellent job of spreading the ball around to all of his receivers so Stills should have plenty of opportunities to make a big play. I would expect to see a huge game from Stills against the Jets, especially if Marques Colston cannot play. Stills was a great draft pick for the Saints and the team is definitely reaping the benefits in just his rookie season.
