A pair of struggling teams square off this Sunday when the Minnesota Vikings and Buffalo Bills do battle in Orchard Park, N.Y. Coming off of a pair of disappointing Week 6 defeats, the Vikings and Bills will be looking for a different outcome in Week 7. Here are a few predictions for this week’s matchup.

Buffalo’s offense has been struggling in recent weeks to consistently score points. Against Minnesota this week, the Bills should be able to move the ball but scoring touchdowns could once again be a challenge. Fortunately, Carpenter has been among the best kickers in the NFL, going 13-for-15 this year, including a 58-yard game-winner against Detroit. He should have plenty of opportunities this week.

The Vikings’ run game actually hasn’t been too bad in the absence of Adrian Peterson. But they will be facing their greatest challenge of the year when they go up against Buffalo’s top-ranked run defense. Minnesota’s O-line doesn’t match up well against the Bills’ dominant D-line, which could result in a lot of negative runs.

3. Sammy Watkins Goes For 100 Yards

Watkins has shown flashes of brilliance during his rookie season, but that wasn’t the case last week as he was completely shut down by Darrelle Revis of the Patriots. Watkins should have much more success against the Vikings now that he isn’t being followed by one player all game. Expect Watkins and Kyle Orton to take advantage of some favorable matchups.

2. Teddy Bridgewater Throws His First TD Pass

Despite his rough outing against Detroit last week, Bridgewater still has a ton of promise. The Lions have arguably the best defense in the league, and while the Bills are no pushovers, Bridgewater should have the chance to throw his first TD pass as a pro. Buffalo’s secondary has been struggling recently, and Bridgewater will be able to take advantage.

The Bills have something to prove after being thoroughly outplayed by New England in a big division game. Teddy Bridgewater will be much easier for this defense to handle than Tom Brady, especially considering how poor Minnesota’s offensive line has looked. Kyle Orton and the offense will score enough points to give Buffalo a comfortable win at home.
