Rex Ryan Jokes Madison Bumgarner Will Start at QB for Jets

Coming off what may be the greatest postseason performance in the storied history of MLB, San Francisco Giants‘ pitcher Madison Bumgarner is the hottest name in sports right now. After closing out the Giants’ Game 7 victory against the Kansas City Royals, even NFL coaches are taking notice of the big lefty.
Head coach Rex Ryan and his 1-7 New York Jets have already moved on from Geno Smith to Michael Vick and are desperate for any semblance of decent quarterback play. Ryan opened up his press conference today by announcing, “We’re going to go with Bumgarner,” adding some humor to what is in reality a serious quarterback situation for the Jets.
