It’s been an up-and-down season for Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch, who has battled limited touches and off-field issues. On Sunday against the New York Giants, Lynch proved that he’s still the same old Beast Mode we’ve come to know.

With the Seahawks on the ropes against the Giants, Lynch took over the game. Getting touches early and often, the Seahawks’ physical runner began running like a man possessed, picking up big yards after contact and making numerous defenders miss. The yards and touchdowns began racking up quickly, as Lynch had soon found his way into the endzone for the fourth time on the day.

As of his fourth touchdown, Lynch had amassed 140 rushing yards and 23 receiving yards while punishing the New York defense with every touch. Shortly after his final score, the Seahawks cashed in on a Russell Wilson rushing touchdown to put the game out of reach.

With his fourth touchdown on the day, Lynch became the first Seattle running back since Shaun Alexander to find the end zone four times in one day. It was also the first time in his career that Lynch had struck pay dirt so many times in one game.

Lynch’s season may have gotten off to a rocky start, but Beast Mode has found his footing and is proving that he’s still one of the best running backs in the NFL. The Giants learned that the hard way.
