The New York Giants finished this past season 6-10, so clearly they have some holes to fill. There are plenty of big names out there on the free agent market, but here are five players the Giants should stay away from this offseason.

5. Ndamukong Suh

Suh has said he would love to come play in New York, but the problem is he is going to command a ton of money. There is no way that the Giants could sign Suh and fill the rest of the holes on their roster. Although Suh is a great player and the Giants can use some depth at defensive tackle, they should stay away from him.

4. Greg Hardy

Another major need for the Giants is defensive end, especially if they let Jason Pierre-Paul walk in free agency. Greg Hardy is a very good pass rusher, but his troubles off the field should outweigh his production on it. The Giants typically don't take on guys with off-the-field issues, and Hardy is no different so they should once again stay away.

3. Jermaine Gresham

The Giants haven't had a steady tight end since Jeremy Shockey, and many fans would like that to change. Gresham is a former first-round pick who has underachieved since being drafted before Rob Gronkowski and Jimmy Graham. The Giants should not only avoid signing Gresham, but they shouldn't sign any free agent tight ends. Larry Donnell is the future there for the Giants.

2. Michael Crabtree

Early in the year it seemed as though the Giants would need to get another wide receiver this offseason. But Odell Beckham Jr. has emerged as a star, and Victor Cruz should be back and healthy. The idea is that a free agent brought in would take Rueben Randle's place, but Crabtree has been a disappointment so far in his NFL career and wouldn't be much of an upgrade over Randle at this point.

The Giants likely need help with their linebacking corps for next year. Jon Beason is injury-prone, and Jacquian Williams is a free agent this offseason. Lance Briggs is an all-time great for the Bears and is likely done with them, but the Giants should stay away. Briggs is 34 years old, and the Giants need more long-term fixes instead of short-term replacements. Re-signing Williams makes more sense.
