With the hiring of Jack Del Rio as the new head coach, you can bet the Silver and Black will be putting an emphasis on improving their defense over the coming seasons. With a potential franchise QB in place in Derek Carr and 2014's first-round pick Khalil Mack anchoring down the defense, the Raiders' biggest areas of need for 2015 are at WR, DE and CB.

Derek Carr looked good in his rookie year given what he had to work with. It's time for the franchise to get him a legitimate aerial weapon with big play ability. Many scouts think Cooper can be a better pro than former Bama wideout Julio Jones.

Orchard is projected to go in the late first or early second round. The senior finished second in all of college football with 18 sacks last season, something the Raiders' defense was seriously lacking in 2014. Their pass rush brought the opposing quarterback down only 22 times, the second-lowest total in the NFL.

Round 3: CB Kevin Johnson - Wake Forest

A lean athlete, Johnson has legitimate cover skills for the NFL level. His tackling is not exemplary, though it is adequate. His toughness is also a great trait, having started in 41 games for the Demon Deacons, never missing one due to injury in his collegiate career.

Round 4: RB Jeremy Langford - Michigan State

Latavius Murray looks promising as a workhorse back if he can stay healthy. Darren McFadden is a free agent, and Maurice Jones-Drew is well past his prime. Langford rushed for nearly 3,000 combined yards in his junior and senior years with the Spartans. He runs low to the ground and has a nose for the end zone, finishing tied for the sixth-most rushing touchdowns in college football last season with 22.

Round 5: OLB Jordan Hicks - Texas

Hicks has decent pass rushing skills. He recorded four sacks last season playing OLB for the Longhorns. Listed at 6-foot-2 and 244 pounds, he has the size to serve as a functional rush end in a reserve role for a defense that runs a 4-3 scheme.

Round 6: OT Tyrus Thompson - Oklahoma

Thompson has 24 starts in his last two seasons with the Sooners as a left tackle. He was named to the All-Big 12 team by coaches and ESPN in 2014 and would provide Oakland with sturdy depth for protecting Derek Carr.

Round 7: CB Troy Hill - Oregon

Hill served as the nickel corner for the mighty Ducks in his senior year. The Youngstown, Ohio product comes from a place where football is a lifestyle, so his development into an NFL backup can be relied upon. He could also have the ability to return kicks or punts at the next level.
