The Denver Broncos came up short again this season, and as a result John Elway decided to make a coaching change. Gary Kubiak had great success with the Baltimore Ravens, but can he turn things around when it comes to Denver's Super Bowl hopes? It all depends on Peyton Manning's health. They may miss John Fox if things do not go well next year. I am not of that mind though, and these are my five reasons why Kubiak is a great fit for the Broncos.

The lack of passion displayed by Denver in their loss to the Indianapolis Colts was probably concerning to John Elway, and Fox became the easy scapegoat. He will now try his chances with the Chicago Bears -- good luck with that -- while Kubiak attempts convincing Manning to adjust Denver's offense.

Joe Flacco may not be the most dynamic QB during the regular season, but he has mostly been a stud during the playoffs. Maybe Manning can get some of that same mojo from Kubiak and bookend his career with one last Super Bowl run.

Elway might not have been the best fit with Fox. Kubiak, on the other hand, was the superstar QB's backup during the glory years. Will that be enough for great chemistry between the two former teammates? It remains to be seen, however, this was probably the Broncos' best chance at future success.

2. Kubiak Will Be Flexible

Some have claimed that Kubiak will not be flexible if Manning wants input on what kind of offense they will run, but I'm calling that bluff. When you have one of the best QBs ever under your control, then you listen to what type of scheme he wants to run.

Whether this move will work out in the end is unclear, but the Broncos definitely needed some fresh perspective after coming up just short of a Super Bowl win for two seasons in a row. Fans in Denver will be pleased by today's news that Manning intends to return, and it should be fun watching him work things out with a new head coach.
