Another postseason, another painful early exit for Marvin Lewis and the Cincinnati Bengals. The right selections in the 2015 NFL Draft will go a long way toward the Bengals altering their fate in January. Here are five pertinent draft rumors Bengals fans should have in mind.

5. Clive Walford

It looks like Jermaine Gresham will not be wearing Bengal orange in 2015, and Tyler Eifert cannot be expected to shoulder the entire tight end workload after missing the majority of his sophomore campaign. Walford’s name has been linked with the Bengals because he is one of the best tight ends in a weak crop. He could be available as late as the third round, which would allow the Bengals to address the defense earlier in the draft.

4. Cody Wichmann

Following the Fresno State pro day, the Bengals reportedly met with Wichmann (pictured here in the white jersey). He has drawn the interest of a handful of other teams as well. Wichmann’s quiet demeanor and diligent work ethic makes him look as pro-ready as any offensive lineman in the draft. Don’t hold your breath on the Bengals taking him before Day 3, however — he’s projected as a sixth-to-seventh rounder.

3. Clayton Geathers

Clayton emerges from a bloodline of Geathers football players, a few of whom have logged hours with the Bengals. The team drafted his cousin Robert back in 2004, and his brother Kwame is currently on the roster. After the departure of Taylor Mays, the Bengals are in the market for help in the back end, and Geathers could fit the bill.

2. Randy Gregory

Gregory’s stock is rising faster than any other prospect in the 2015 NFL Draft right now. Just this week, he has visits planned with six different teams. While Cincinnati is not on his travel itinerary for now, rumor has it that the Bengals are very interested in adding the ferocious pass rusher should he fall to No. 21.

1. Breshad Perriman

It would be surprising if (1) Perriman was still available at No. 21 and (2) the Bengals forgo the pressing need at offensive line to draft a receiver. That being said, Perriman’s speed and playmaking ability are right up Marvin Lewis’ alley. The thought of Perriman lining up with A.J. Green and Mohamed Sanu might be too much for Lewis to pass up.
