Ranking the Chicago Bears' 2015 Draft Picks From Worst To First

Ryan Pace's first draft is in the books as the Chicago Bears general manager and it's hard to find fault with what he accomplished. He selected as many as four future NFL starters and three could be starting as rookies. I would like to have seen them land a dynamic outside pass rusher, but despite that, Pace's first draft looks very strong. Here's a ranking of the Bears' draft choices in 2015.

It's tough to criticize any team’s draft picks by the sixth round but don’t expect much from Fabuluje. He has a great story that you’ve already heard plenty about, but his limited skill set will probably never develop. He is a mountain of a man and clearly has NFL size, and the Bears will try to develop him into a contributor. But the odds of him actually having any success will be extremely low.

5. Adrian Amos, S, Penn State

Amos is a smart guy and probably has a future as an NFL coach, but it will be difficult for him to last in the league for more than a couple years. His skills in the running game are limited and he doesn’t make many big plays in the secondary. He is a safe choice that coaches will love, as Amos can make an impact during the week in practice. He's a longshot to make much of one on Sundays, though.

4. Jeremy Langford, RB, Michigan State

This pick signifies that Matt Forte is entering his final season with the Bears. With Forte, Jacquizz Rodgers and Ka'Deem Carey, the Bears were set at running back in 2015, but Langford is a potential replacement for Forte in 2016. He has speed and is an asset in pass protection as well as a solid pass catcher, but Langford doesn't offer much between the tackles. His skill set is a very raw version of Forte. That's no coincidence.

3. Kevin White, WR, West Virginia

White was a very good selection at No. 7 overall which means good things if he's ranked only third. He has the potential to be a big-time receiver, but White needs time to develop which leaves the window open that he could falter at the NFL level. Adam Gase will use him well, and he will definitely be able to stretch the field with his speed and athleticism -- something the Bears desperately needed in 2014.

2. Hroniss Grasu, C, Oregon

Grasu should be starting Week 1 for Chicago against Green Bay. He needs to focus on getting stronger to handle the physical play of the NFL, but that can be easily remedied. He was a four-year starter at Oregon, was all Pac-12 three times and was arguably the best center in college football the last two seasons. Grasu could be a longtime starter for the Bears and is an excellent find in the third round.

1. Eddie Goldman, NT, Florida State

Goldman filled a big need for the Bears with this selection. He's only a touch behind Danny Shelton as a nose tackle, so getting him 25 picks later is a great value. If Goldman isn't starting Week 1, then something went terribly wrong during training camp. He is phenomenal against the run but not so great against the pass. However, Jeremiah Ratliff can get to the quarterback, so the two could complement each other quite well.
