With training camp approaching, there are many players who will be battling it out at different positions for a Cincinnati Bengals roster spot. Who will come out on top and grab one of those 53 spots? Here are some key battles to keep an eye on starting July 21.

Tight ends Kroft and Uzomah were both drafted by the Bengals in this year's NFL draft. Both will be competing to prove that they are the best rookie TE in Cincinnati. All signs point to Kroft winning that job and the majority of playing time alongside Tyler Eifert, but Uzomah definitely has the ability to prove us wrong.

The Bengals have a multitude of wide receivers ready to battle it out for roster spots in training camp. In addition to their three stars, A.J. Green, Mohamed Sanu, and Marvin Jones, they've also signed Denarius Moore this offseason who is very capable of starting. And let's not forget about Brandon Tate, as well as their seventh-round draft pick, Mario Alford. This will be an intriguing competition to watch unfold.

The Bengals signed former Texans player, Shiloh Keo in free agency this year, and drafted Derron Smith in the sixth round of the 2015 draft. While veteran Reggie Nelson's starting job is pretty secure, the battle for that second string position could be one to watch between these two. Nelson is aging and entering free agency next year, which means one of these guys could take over for him in 2016.

Whitworth didn't hide his feelings of displeasure about the possibility of the Bengals drafting an offensive tackle as his eventual replacement along with Andre Smith who will be a free agent as well in 2016. Well that's exactly what the Bengals did with their first two picks of the 2015 NFL draft. I expect these veterans to make it clear to the rookies that their starting spots are not up for grabs.

The Bengals just signed Pryor a few days ago, which should make for an interesting competition at the QB position between him and McCarron. The Bengals made it known that for now, Andy Dalton is their guy, but his immediate backup could be up in the air depending on how they perform in training camp. And who knows, perhaps this guy could turn into the starter in 2016 if Dalton continues his inconsistent play.
