After making the playoffs in Chip Kelly's first season as head coach, the Philadelphia Eagles were on the outside looking in last season. After n rash of offseason acquisitions, the team will have an exciting new buzz leading up to this season. Here are 10 reasons why Eagles fans should be excited for the 2015 NFL season.

The potential is there for Bradford to succeed. After having to play behind a patchwork offensive line, with minimal weapons, and poor coaching during his tenure with the Rams, Bradford will have the complete opposite with the Eagles. He has all the tools to breakthrough in Chip Kelly’s offense and live up to his No. 1 selection. As long as Bradford can stay healthy, which has been a problem his whole career, he will succeed in Philadelphia.

After seeing Bradley Fletcher, Cary Williams and Nate Allen get beat like a drum for two seasons, the Eagles parted ways with three-fourths of their starting secondary. By Bringing in veterans Byron Maxwell, and Walter Thurmond, as well as rookie Eric Rowe, the secondary should be much better than years prior.

8. Kiko Alonso

The 2013 defensive rookie of the year runner up, Alonso has a ton of potential. He is great against the run and is exceptional dropping back in coverage. The bottom line is he is a playmaker and plays the game the way Eagles fans will love. As long as he can stay healthy, Alonso will anchor the middle of the Eagles defense for years to come.

The Eagles will travel less than any other team in the entire league this season. Their farthest trip is to visit the Cowboys in Week 9. They get a couple extra days of rest before they face the Patriots in Week 13. They face warm weather based teams like the Cardinals, Buccaneers, and Dolphins at home when it is cold late in the season. Safe to say the schedule plays to the Eagles' advantage.

After watching Jordan Matthews show he has the capability to be an elite receiver and Josh Huff show flashes of potential last season, they will look to have a big year in 2015. Both Matthews and Huff will play big roles in the Eagles' offense this season. Another year of experience, another training camp and another offseason of working out together will do them good when the season rolls around.

5. More Opportunities for Zach Ertz

After only being on the field for about half of the Eagles' offensive snaps in 2014, we should see a big year out of Ertz this season. Ertz has spent an extended amount of time this offseason on working on his blocking all summer as well as continuing to develop his route running. Couple his hard work with veteran Brent Celek getting a year older, and Ertz will surely see more opportunities in 2015.

After witnessing a record-breaking season for the Eagles special teams unit in 2014, we should see more of it this season. The Eagles even brought in more special teams aces this offseason to continue to bolster the special team units. Get ready for more blocked punts, punt and kick returns going for touchdowns and maybe even a few blocked kicks. It should be another exciting season from the special teamers.

3. DeMarco Murray at Running Back

After watching LeSean McCoy have an up and down season last year, he became expendable. His failure to hit the hole, instead dancing and tip-toeing his way around defenders led to Kelly having enough. By going out and getting the opposite kind of runner in DeMarco Murray, there will be a new style in Philadelphia. Eagles fans should be stoked to see Murray putting his shoulder down and running defenders over.

2. Nelson Agholor Replacing Jeremy Maclin

The Jeremy Maclin clone should fit in easily with the Eagles. While Agholor is just a rookie, he has the skills to step in and contribute immediately. Much like Maclin, he is electric with the ball in his hands. It will be interesting to see how Kelly uses him in his first year. Soon Agholor could have Eagles fans saying “Jeremy who?”
