5 Bold Predictions for Cowboys vs Packers in NFL Week 14

The Dallas Cowboys came to play on Monday night against the Washington Redskins. At 4-8, just one game out of the playoffs, the Cowboys have reason for optimism, but to reach the postseason, they face a must-win game against the Green Bay Packers. At Lambeau, this game has the potential to be a real good one. Here are five bold predictions for Sunday's game.

We saw on Monday night just how good and disruptive the Cowboys' defense can be. The amazing thing is that they're without their best cover cornerback in Orlando Scandrick. The Packers' offense hasn't been that terrific over the past few weeks, so Dallas' defense has all the reason in the world to shut down Green Bay.

To keep the defense fresh and Aaron Rodgers off the field, the Cowboys will need to run the ball with authority. I can't express enough how important Darren McFadden will be in this game. McFadden has played extremely well over the past few weeks which should continue on Sunday.

This may be more on Matt Cassel than it will on the Packers, but the reality is that if the Packers don't get at least two takeaways in this game, then that truly is a disgrace. With Cassel at the helm, the Cowboys have averaged three turnovers a game. Don't expect that to change against Green Bay.

2. Cowboys Shut Down Eddie Lacy

Dallas' defense has really clamped down against the run over the past few weeks. As long as Demarcus Lawrence, Sean Lee and Rolando McClain play well, this defense will mean business. Because of those three players, I don't see Eddie Lacy playing well this weekend.

1. Aaron Rodgers Leads the Packers to Victory

It's really impossible to bet against Rodgers at home against the likes of Matt Cassel. Dallas has a ton on the line in this game, so they will be sure to give Green Bay their best shot, but this is the game where Rodgers and company need to get back on track. I see them winning a close game here.
