Cincinnati Radio Station Receiving Backlash For Its “Big Ben Warning”

The Cincinnati Bengals will host the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday night from Paul Brown Stadium. When these two division rivals get together, there is never any love lost, but there may be some added fuel to the fire in this game after what one Cincinnati radio station did to Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.

In an attempt to be funny, Cincinnati radio station WLW issued a “Big Ben warning” for girls in the Cincinnati area. They are taking a shot at Roethlisberger’s two sexual assault allegations from 2009 and 2010, but they’ve received a lot of backlash for running the spoof.

Here’s how the ad goes:

“This is a severe Ben Roethlisberger update from 700 WLW.

“The Tri-State currently under a severe Big Ben warning from now through early Sunday morning,” the spoof begins. “The Steelers quarterback has been spotted in the downtown Cincinnati area. All females ages 18-40 are to use extreme caution, especially if heavily consuming alcohol. Males should also be on the lookout just in case.

“If you see Big Ben and he flashes Little Ben, you are asked to report it to authorities immediately.

“He poses the greatest threat to 18-to-40-year-olds, especially those with boob jobs in the downtown Cincinnati area. You are safe if you live in Butler or Clermont counties, pretty much anywhere in Kentucky and most of southeast Indiana.”

With the Steelers being one of the most dangerous teams in the playoffs, it’s probably not a good idea to give them more ammunition.
